Getting there

Air - Glasgow Airport is the busiest of Scotland's three main international airports, with over 86,000 air transport movements serving 6.7 million passengers a year. It lies just to the west of the city and is within easy reach of most places in Scotland. The airport is located on the prime motorway network and is also servable by a range of public transport options - key routes having recently been upgraded to improve service, quality and frequency. Regular connections to the rail network are also available.

Train - The key hub for travelers coming to Glasgow by train is the Glasgow Central Station. The second main line station is the Glasgow Queen Street Station situated in the city centre. There are buses linking between these two stations.

Bus - There is a number of coach operators that service Glasgow such as Scottish CityLink, National Express, and Eurolines.

Car - As a big city in the UK, there is a network of highways that lead to Glasgow from all parts of the region, including M74, M8, M9, A73, A72, A702.

Getting around

Subway is naturally the fastest and most efficient way to get around Glasgow. There's a day ticket available so you can cover many places of interest without paying too much on transport in one day. Walking is also easy in the central area. Buses in Glasgow are operated by many different independent operators, so it's best to check their routes and ticket prices for the deal that suits your budget.
